So I probably spend way too much time on CNet.com than I should, being the fairly tech savvy bloke that I am. But, hey, it's good tech news, pretty well presented, and to my great distraction, provides ample opportunity to review, comment, talk-back and generally make a pest of oneself. Kinda hand-in-glove with that come the various, sundry and sometime downright annoying multiplicity of e-mail newsletters you can subscribe to, or BE subscribed to if you're not careful. Again, n...

Ultimate Fantastic Four # 21 Well, I guess I'm only gonna do these as the spirit moves me.  Which I guess is okay for a blog, being what they are.  Wish I could do better with my fiction writing, but there it is.  Onward and upward.  WARNING: I do spoil the ending of this issue, so if you want to cut to the chase while staying pure, just go buy the damn thing!  Trust me, it's good! Ultimate Fantastic Four # 21 Writer:   Mark Millar Penciler: &n...

I think seven months off is a good enough break! (Sheesh, what have I been doing?) What can I say? City Of Heroes is a very absorbing game. That and I'm no longer working at a comic shop. Yet the addiction remains strong, and some "events" all but require commentary. Such as the following: Countdown To Infinite Crisis Writers: Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka & Judd Winick Pencilers: Rags Morales, Ed Benes, Jesus Saiz, Ivan Reis & Phil Jimenez Inkers: Michael Bair, Ed Ben...

Comic Reviews for the week of 6-23-04 Yep, still not current, but I'm trying! A lot more work than I'dthought, and even this won't be the complete record of everything Iread this week, but I'm making up for it in more detail than my lastround up. It feels like an easier thing to group 'em together asmuch as possible, instead of putting up an individual post foreach. Lemme know if you disagree. Anyhow, on with theshow.... The Authority: More Kev # 2 W: Garth Ennis Ill: ...

The Authority # 13 Writer: Robbie Morrison Pencils: Dwayne Turner Inks: Sal Regla Color: Wildstorm FX My reading of The Authority is by no means complete. Just haven'thad the time to read the trades, though two of my fave writers, WarrenEllis andMark Millar, have written for it in the past. I came onto thecurrent ROBBIE 1 Morrison run to keep up on the "Coup D'etat" mini-series, sinceit seemed like thesort of thing on which I, as a comic book slinger, should be ...

Yeah, I think it can, since not only was writing comic reviews the prime impetus for starting up with blogging, it's something I'd really like to do. I've started a couple, but between work and TV (less of a concern than it used to be) and the crystal meth-like addiction that is City Of Heroes, I've yet to finish more than the one review, and I assure you, I have read a comic or two since Identity Crisis # 1! So I finally have one ready to go, and I'll finish the other before moving on to t...

So I put up my very first blog post…and nothing happened. Thanggod! For as private an S.O.B. as I am, it’s always a very queasy thing to put myself “out there” in such a way. May have a post that typifies this in the future, but for the moment, let’s get on to one of my cited purposes: There’s been a severe level of hype surrounding the next big “crisis” multi-issue event from DC Comics, “Identity Crisis.” [IDC, hereafter] Though it’s been talked up for months and even the DC rep to th...
